Global meat consumption is expected to increase by 50% by 2050 and current food production systems will not meet future demands. Geopolitical, environmental, and economic factors contribute to disrupted supply chains, escalating food prices, and rising food security concerns globally.

Significant advancements in food technology over the last decade have led to novel solutions, opening new avenues for increasing high-protein product options, such as cultivated meats produced through cellular agriculture.

Hybrid meats are blends of plant-based ingredients with cultured animal cells. They are a product category within cultivated meats and an emerging product for both people and pets.
